Teachers Kaiser, Abbe honored

Two teachers in ISD 831 have been honored for their work and bringing technology into their classrooms. Maria Kaiser and Bruce Abbe were among a group of 46 teachers honored by their respective school districts in a new TIES Exceptional Teacher award program. The 46 teachers are being honored Dec. 7 at the TIES 2004 Education Technology Conference, where hundreds of teachers come to learn how to turn students on with technology. Kaiser, an art teacher at Forest Lake High School, and Abbe, a technology and gifted staff member at Forest View Elementary School, were recognized for their use of technology and their ability to inspire students. ISD 831 is one of 37 school districts with membership in St. Paul-based TIES, a technology and information consortium.
