Most teams would like to win their season opener and the Forest Lake High School boys basketball team is no different except the fact that they ran into an explosive St. Paul Como Park team in their season opener Saturday night.

The Rangers held a slim one point lead after the first quarter but St. Paul Como Park outscored the Rangers 12-8 in the second quarter to take a slim three point lead into the half.

St. Paul Como Park outcored the Rangers 15-10 in both the third and fourth quarter to win the game 52-39.

Nate Robertson led the Rangers in scoring with 15 points. Noah Lawson scored eight points and sophomore Drew Cremisino netted seven points.

The Rangers next game is Friday against St. Paul Harding at 7 p.m.
