Benefit will help military families

The Forest Laker, 131 N. Lake St., will have its second annual Fund-Raiser for Military Families from 3-7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12. Business owner Pete Paidar said the benefit will assist the families of men and women now serving in Iraq. Funds raised in Forest Lake on Dec. 12 will be donated to the ABATE Metro Chapter. The fund-raiser will include free beer from 4-5 p.m. with a $5 donation to ABATE, all drinks two for the price of one from 5-6 p.m. and pizza at $1 a slice from 6-7 p.m. In addition to the proceeds, all tips generated on Dec. 12 will be matched by the Forest Laker. Guest bartenders will also be on duty.
