SRC lost 7 trucks in Wyoming fire
As the damage continues to be assessed, SRC Recycling in Wyoming is now saying it lost seven garbage hauling trucks in the Feb. 2 fire. An electrical problem on a garbage truck is the likely cause of the fire that resulted in eight fire departments and some 80 volunteers responding to the call. Cameron Strand, company leader, said 15 trucks were removed from the building but about 12 were still inside when the fire intensified. The company maintained all garbage collection routes and no service was lost, Strand said. ìEverything is being covered,î he said. Strand said he was thankful there were no serious injuries. ìEverything damaged is replaceable,î Strand said. ìWe have to commend the fire departments for the efforts they put in. The results were quite gratifying. We appreciate their efforts.î
