An officer on routine patrol at the Forest Lake I-35 Rest Area early Tuesday morning arrested a man for probable cause of possession of stolen property.

A routine check of a vehicle in the parking lot at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday determined the vehicle had been stolen in White Bear Lake, Police Chief Clark Quiring said this week.

Quiring said Forest Lake officers arrested Charles Larson, 29, no address listed, after he fled on foot from the Rest Area building. He was taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater on probable cause of possession of stolen property and driving after revocation.

The vehicle was also held at the request of police in Oakdale for an on-going investigation in that city, the chief said.
