Forest Lake 5 will be open soon

If all goes according to plan, Forest Lake 5 Theater should be open for business again this month. The five-screen movie theater received extensive damage from fire last September 17 and has been in the process of rebuilding. Although the fire was contained to the main lobby, all the auditoriums suffered extensive smoke damage. Manager Jerry Martinez said the theater has undergone a complete remodeling with all new carpet. As of early this week, Martinez said the tentative reopening date is Friday, Feb. 20. That schedule is contingent on the delivery of new seats which must be installed as one the of final construction projects prior to reopening. Martinez said a schedule of movies to be shown at the theater should be available soon.
