Sports EditorIt was a trying week for the Forest Lake High School boys basketball team as they lost games to both Mounds View and Woodbury.
Last Tuesday, Mounds View jumped out to an early 24-11 lead after the first half and didnít look back. At the half the Rangers trailed 37-23. Mounds View had a strong third quarter, outscoring the Rangers 24-13, but both teams matched each other point for point in the fourth quarter as they each scored 12, giving Mounds View a 50-36 victory.
Collin Authier led the Rangers in scoring with 11 points, followed by Tom Frericks 10 points, and Nate Robertson and Noah Lawsonís seven points apiece.
The Rangers had the same luck against Woodbury, as the Royals beat the Rangers 58-34. The Royals were up 33-15 by the half.
Noah Lawson was the top scorer for the Rangers with 11 points, and Frericks and Robertson each had eight points.
The Rangers next game is Friday at Roseville at 7:30 p.m.
