The Forest Lake High School girls basketball team had a rough week, losing both of their games.

Mounds View beat the Rangers last Tuesday by a score of 56-35. Mounds View jumped out to an early 21-11 lead after the first quarter and just added to their lead. At the half, the Rangers trailed 29-23.

In the second half Mounds View outscored the Rangers 27-11.

Renee Frericks did all that she could to lead the Rangers to victory, scoring 17 points. Krista Skoglund was the next leading scorer with seven points.

Friday was more of the same for the Rangers. After the first quarter Woodbury was ahead 16-4, and by halftime, they were ahead 35-11.

In the second half the Rangers simply wouldnít give up, but were still outscored 32-22, giving Woodbury a decisive 67-33 victory. Frericks was again the leading scorer for the Rangers with 11 points, followed by Skoglund with eight points.

The Rangers next game is Friday against Roseville at 7:30 p.m.
