The Forest Lake High School girls hockey team improved their record to 4-8-2 Friday with a 2-1 win over Woodbury.

After two scoreless periods, Woodbury scored to take the lead midway through the third period. Paige Patchin tied the game up about three minutes later. Rangers goalie Kim Fredrick kept things close, stopping 21 of the 22 Woodbury shots.

Less than minute after Patchinís goal, eighth grader Briana Gray scored what would be the game winning goal.

ìItís slowly coming together,î Rangers head coach Shawn Everson said. ìAll the girls are contributing and there is a little more confidence there.î

The Rangers next game is Saturday at home against Hastings. Face-off is at 3 p.m.
