County launches new website Jan. 5

The Washington County Board on Jan. 6 got its first look at the new county website that was launched Monday, Jan. 5. Mary McCarthy, director of information services, said the new website provides visitors with a variety of enhanced features. ìThe new site is very focused toward the needs of customers and provides more interactive services, easier navigation, and an attractive format,î McCarthy said. The county partnered with a consultant firm to create the design and navigation of the new site. All of the siteís content was developed and is managed internally by county staff. Data from the countyís most recent citizen survey revealed that an overwhelming majority of residents ó 80 percent ó have the ability to go online. The site will continue to expand as staff adds more information to better serve the community. The website address remains: www.co.washington.mn.us.
