Sports EditorThe Forest Lake wrestling team had no trouble beating Princeton during a triangular meet, but Coon Rapids was too much for the Rangers at the same meet.
The Rangers won 12 of 14 matches against Princeton. Luke Opsahl, Eric Morris, Ken Janssen, John Denney, Jimmy Underdahl and Derek Peterson all won their matches by pin. Clay Harrison, Patrick Taylor, and Phillip Osterbauer won by decision while Matt Joyer won by forfeit.
The Rangers beat Princeton by a score of 61-12.
Against Coon Rapids, the Rangers were only able to win six of the 14 matches, losing by a score of 40-31.
Denny, Taylor, Underdahl, Jordan Kolbow, Andy Ramirez, and Osterbauer were all winners against Coon Rapids.
The Rangers next meet is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8, (today) at home against Woodbury at 6 p.m.
