Troops draw applause in FL's Independence Day parade

The more than 40,000 parade goers who attended Saturday's Fourth of July parade in Forest Lake had more to cheer than the rain that stayed away until late afternoon. When this contingent of 17 members of the U.S. Armed Forces, both active and reserve, made their way down the parade route, they were greeted to loud rounds of applause. The troops marched with the combined color guard of American Legion Post 225 and VFW Post 4210 that led Forest Lake's 80th annual Independence Day parade. (Photo By Cliff Buchan)
