Veteran teacher Steichen retires

The exodus of veteran teachers from ISD 831 continued last month with the retirement of Patricia Steichen. Steichen notified the school district last week that she was retiring from her position at Linwood Elementary School effective June 10. Steichen has been teaching at Linwood Elementary School for 35 years. Steichen has also been active with the Forest Lake Education Association and served on FLEAís contract negotiations team.
