Lino Lakes principal is hired

David Olberg is the new principal at Lino Lakes Elementary School. He was selected from a field of 125 applicants to replace Cam Hedlund who is taking a leave to become director of the new Spanish immersion charter school in Forest Lake. Olberg has been a principal in Maple Lake the past five years. He has college degrees from Moorhead State University and Minnesota State at Mankato. He has eight years of classroom teaching experience in Prior Lake, Luverne and Edina prior to becoming an elementary principal. Olberg and his wife Katy are the parents of three pre-school children.
