Spanish immersion teachers hired
Cam Hedlund, director-elect for Lakes International Language Academy, announced that five teachers have accepted teaching positions at the Spanish immersion school opening this fall in Forest Lake. All of the newly hired teachers have Minnesota Department of Education certification to teach elementary education and speak Spanish with native or near-native fluency. The new teachers are: Bobbi Jo Rademacher, a teacher at Adams Spanish Immersion School in St. Paul; Forest Lake resident Aaron Arredondo, who also comes to Lakes International Language Academy from Adams; Richie Kucinski, a former instructor in Antigua, Guatemala, and Duluth, where he has taught Spanish at Holy Rosary School and substitutes at several Duluth public schools; Stacey McFarlane, a long-term sub at Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School; and Stefanie Jones, who will return to the area with her husband from Henderson, NV, where she has been teaching first grade at a Spanish immersion international school.
