Grocery store owners form new board

The Johanneson Companies, headquartered in Bemidji, which operates MarketPlace Food & Drug stores in Minnesota and North Dakota, has formed a new board of directors. The directors include: Leon Merck, Minot, ND, general manager of supermarkets; Keith Johanneson, Bemidji, president/CEO of Johanneson Companies and MarketPlace Food & Drug stores; Duaine Espegard, Grand Forks, ND, regional president, Bremer Banking Companies, retired in 2001 and now a North Dakota State Senator; William Baumgartner, Bemidji, president of IPS Insurance Company; Robert Harvey, Shoreview, vice president of marketing for Ameripride Services, an international company; John Baer, Bemidji, president of Security Bank USA; Richard Johanneson, Blaine, vice president of Johanneson Companies and MarketPlace Food & Drug. Johanneson Companies owns MarketPlace Foods in Forest Lake.
