Sports EditorThe Forest Lake Brewers lost to Chisago 1-0 in 13 innings Sunday.
Luke Hagman pitched 12 innings of scoreless baseball for the Brewers giving up only five hits and striking out 11.
ìIt was a pitchers duel,î Brewers coach Dave Gallerberg said.
Chisago scored the only run of the game after a hit batsman reached first base, then stole second base. The runner later advanced to third then scored on two different passed balls.
Earlier in the week the Brewers beat Quamba 10-4.
Dean Weiss earned the win with Billy Clarin and Chris Parent each registering three strikeouts apiece in relief.
Tyler Engquist had a single and a triple with three runs batted in while Pete Storm had a home run. John Mollner had two hits and Clarin three.
The Brewers next game is Saturday at Pine City at 2 p.m.
