Odegaard places 3rd

Luke Odegaard of the Forest Lake High School boys tennis team placed third at the section meet on Anoka last Tuesday.

Odegaard won his first round match against Phil Mattson of Anoka 6-0, 6-1. In his quarter final match Odegaard defeated Dillon Sterkle of Hibbing 6-0, 5-7, 6-1. In the semifinals Odegaard defeated Joe Stejskal of Grand Rapids 6-2, 4-6, 6-3. Odegaard lost the final to Nick Hanson of Duluth East 6-1, 6-1.

In the true second place match Odegaard lost to Sean Turner of Duluth East 7-6, 6-2 to finish third in the section.
