Third obstetrician joins Fairview Lakes in Wyoming

Dr. Matthew Anderson has joined Sondra Mericle, M.D., and Mary Kay Durfee, M.D., in the obstetrics and gynecology clinic on the second floor of Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center in Wyoming. Andersonís first day was Monday, March 8. ìAdding a third obstetrician to our staff, coupled with our recent addition of reproductive and fertility services, enhances our ability to accommodate the health care needs of many more women,î said clinic manager Jeanne Koenes. Since 1982, Dr. Anderson had practiced in Burlington, IA, where he was a partner in Great River Womenís Health Clinic. He and his wife recently decided they wanted to move to Minnesota to be closer to their adult children and seven grandchildren in St. Paul, Coon Rapids and Wyoming. Anderson obtained his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine at Vermillion. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 1982 and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1984.
