Thiefs raid two cars at Famous Daveís

Folks in Forest Lake may want to keep a keen eye on the sky.

Thereís a red tail hawk somewhere up there.

William Wagner, Havelka Trail, reported the hawk missing Monday, March 1.

He said he lost the bird, which he had been training, on Sunday, Feb. 29.

The hawk was last seen in the area behind Cub Foods. It may still be wearing its strap.

Thefts from vehicle

There were two thefts from vehicle reports Thursday, Feb. 26 at Famous Dave's Restaurant.

Individuals broke into a pick-up and store several items of personal property at an undisclosed value. Items stolen include a Kevlar bag containing several items such as an aviation radio, GPS unit with memory sticks, 22 caliber hand gun, pilotís license, identification cards and other items.

Also at Famous Dave's, the front passenger window was smashed and a purse was stolen from an automobile. The purse, among other items, included $5 in cash and VISA, JC Penney and Marshall Fieldís credit cards.

A yellow late 1980s-early 1990s Cadillac with a white male and white female was seen in the area.

Other news

In other police news, onlookers reported a fish house fire on the north side of Willow Point at 2:27 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27. Three individuals reportedly started the fire and then drove off.
