Groundwater group needs members

Applications are now being accepted for a citizen at large position and a local government unit/water unit position for the Washington County Groundwater Advisory Committee. The county board is now taking applications for the positions. The purpose of the Groundwater Advisory Committee is to advise the county on the development, content and implementation of the countyís groundwater management plan required under state law. The 2003-2113 Washington County Groundwater plan was adopted by the Washington County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 16, 2003. For information about serving on the committee, call the countyís office of administration at 651-430-6014. Applications must be returned by March 19.
