Novak Buick Pontiac GMC has donated a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire Coupe to the Forest Lake Relay for Life.Tickets for the fundraising raffle will be $5 and are available from any participant of the 2004 Relay for Life.
Participants also will have details about the car. The car is white in color with a gray interior. It has a 2.2 L-4 cycle engine. It has power door locks, power steering, power brakes, remote keyless entry and remote trunk release. Other features include tinted glass, six speaker CD stereo, security system, a driver air bag.
The next meeting for the Forest Lake Relay for Life is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, May 17 at Forest Hills United Methodist Church. Individuals who are interested in getting involved by joining a team, forming a new team or helping in any way are encouraged to attend.
The all night American Cancer Society Fundraiser is scheduled for 6 p.m. August 6 through 6 a.m. August 7 at the Forest Lake High School track. This is a community event in which teams of 8 to 15 people take turns, relay style, walking running or strolling around the track.
During the relay, team members may enjoy games, food, music and camaraderie while camping out over night. At dusk, all participants will share in a special candle lighting ceremony to remember those individuals who have been affected by cancer.
