The Rockiní Hollywoods are coming back to Lakeside Park to kick-off the seventh annual Arts in the Park series on Friday, June 4.Sponsored by Target, the Rockiní Hollywoods are a crowd pleaser with fun, entertaining music. The Forest Lake Lions Club will be doing the concession stand starting at 6 p.m. The concert will run from 7-10 p.m. In case of a rain out, the concert will be rescheduled for 5-8 p.m. Sunday, June 6.
The rest of the June line-up includes: The Shakespeare Man, Blue Truck, Joe Meyer Band, Czech Concertina Club, YPA and Eric ěThe Juggling Magician.î
July and August brings back other crowd favorites and local entertainers. Community favorite Charlie O. will be at the July 4th celebration put on by the American Legion. Songs of Hope will be coming in July as well. Songs of Hope is a group of children from around the world who will present a lively concert of music and dance from their countries and cultures.
August 3 is national night out and the park will be thriving with activity including several local entertainers at the Gazebo as well as family fun throughout the park including police and fire department units.
The season ends on August 31 with the annual free community corn feed and entertainment by crowd favorite Fresh Squeezed Country.
The Farmersí Market will be going on every Tuesday at the park as well. It will run from June 8-September 28. Farmers, artisans and crafters will be there to sell their wares to park visitors. Farmersí Market runs from 5ń8 p.m.
Arts in the Park is a free event put on by the Forest Lake Park Board. Its goal is to provide a weekly outlet for families to come to the lake and relax, enjoy some great entertainment, catch up with friends and make new friends.
