Spanish school meetings continue

Lakes International Language Academy, the public Spanish-immersion charter school opening this fall in Forest Lake, will continue its current series of public information meetings next week. Students entering 1st and 2nd grade are especially encouraged to submit applications now. All Minnesota elementary students may apply, including students residing outside the Forest Lake Area School District. The school charges no tuition. Parent information sessions continue Tuesday, May 18 and Monday May 24, 7 p.m. at the former District Memorial Hospital, 246 SE 11th Ave. in Forest Lake. Free childcare is available. Visit www.lakesinternational.org or call 651-464-0771 for more information. In addition, the school will host kindergarten round-up Thursday, May 13 at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive. Parents and their students can attend one of two sessions between 5-6:30 p.m. or 7-8:30 p.m.
