Forest Lake High School graduate Jason Schwietz finished second in the 400-meter race with a time of 48.93.1 at the University of St. Thomas Track Meet on May 1.Schwietz finished behind Mitch Potter of the University of Minnesota.
Schwietz finished third at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meet at St. Olaf College in Northfield May 8, with a time of 48.24. Schwietz was also part of the conference winning 4x400-meter relay team that won with a time of 3:16.48. The 4x400-meter relay team qualified for the NCAA Division III Nationals at Milliken University in Illinois May 27-29.
Schwietz is a four time All-American and biology major at the University of St. Thomas.
