Bike trail in area will be resurfaced
Resurfacing is now under way for Washington Countyís Hardwood Creek Trail and Chisago Countyís Sunrise Prairie Trail from Hugo to North Branch. Work was slated to begin Monday, May 17, weather permitting. The work will begin on the south end of the trail in Hugo and finish in North Branch. Two weeks will be required to complete the resurfacing. As a section of the trail is worked on, the section will be closed until the resurfacing material is thoroughly dry. Trail users are asked to observe and follow all signs for personal safety and to prevent damage to the new trail surface. The project is a cooperative effort between Washington and Chisago counties and is being funded by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources ěsnowmobile stud damageî repair fund.
