Thieves expended extra effort last week to make off with a custom-made fishhouse valued at $6800 last week.

Officials of D.R. Martineau Construction, 21400 Forest Blvd. N. told Forest Lake police they arrived at work Friday morning to find one of the finished ice houses missing.

The fishhouse had been chained through its trailer tires, but police speculate the thieves removed the house from the tires and fitted the house with new tires to haul it away.

ìThese guys knew what they were doing,î police investigator Rick Peterson said. The custom-made fishhouse had a finely designed interior and was white with black trim.

Anyone with information about the stolen property is asked to call police at 651-464-5877.
