Rangers fall to 2-6 on the season with a loss to Coon Rapids

Luke Odegaard won the only match for the Forest Lake High School boys tennis team in a 6-1 loss to Coon Rapids Monday.

ìIt was a battle of two young teams,î Forest Lake coach Greg Patchin said.

Earlier in the week the Rangers fell to Roseville and Hastings. Roseville defeated the Rangers 7-0 last Tuesday and Hastings beat the Rangers 6-1 on Thursday.

Odegaard was the only Rangers player to win a set, but ultimately lost the match 1-6, 6-3, 3-6.

ìRoseville arrived 45 minutes late and then they jumped all over us,î Patchin said.
The doubles team of Dan Cromwell and Jeff Kohler were the only winners against Hastings, winning their match in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

The Rangers next match is today, Thursday, against Stillwater at 4 p.m.
