FL voter turnout was 82.7%
City of Forest Lake voters turned out in impressive numbers on Tuesday, Nov. 2, election officials said this week. When all the votes were counted last week, 82.7 percent of the cityís registered voters took part in the election, said Chantal Doriott, deputy clerk. The presidential election and a hotly contested city council race led to 9758 ballots being cast, she said. The race also saw many first-time voters and new Forest Lake residents registering. The city registered 2385 new voters for the Nov. 2 contest. A total of 867 city residents voted by absentee ballot.
