No surprise in Hugo city election
There were no surprises in the city of Hugoís local election on Tuesday, Nov. 2. Incumbent Mayor Fran Miron, running unopposed, was handed another two-year term. Miron, a local farmer, picked up 4121 votes. Two city council seats four four-year terms were also on the ballot in Hugo. Incumbent Michael E. Granger was the only incumbent who had opposition, Granger, the at-larger council member, defeated Mike Fish by a 2874-1521 margin. He received 65 percent of the vote. Frank Puleo captured the Ward 2 council seat with 1278 votes. He ran unopposed.
