Lindstrom church hosts drug meeting

Whatís out there? Whoís using it? Where do kids get it? Parents are invited to an important presentation on current trends in drug abuse featuring nationally-recognized expert Carol Falkowski of the Hazelden Foundation and officer Tim Tougas of Lakes Area Police Department. The presentation will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Lindstrom. Free of charge. The topics for parents include: How drugs affect the mind, body, and behavior; slang terms and forms under which drugs are sold; observable symptoms and signs of abuse; and what parents can do if their child may have a problem. Residents from throughout the area are welcome to attend.
