Frank falls in bid for county board

Washington County Sheriff Jim Frank, seeking a slot on the Washington County Board of Commissioners, failed to post a victory in his first bid for the county commission. Gary Kriesel won the District 3 seat by collecting 52 percent of the vote to Frankís 48 percent. Kriesel won the four-year term with a popular vote total victory of 11,915 to 10,791. Frank has two years remaining on his elective term as county sheriff.
