Family Pathways appeals for help
The Family Pathways Food Pantry in Forest Lake has issued a call for food donations to help support the local food shelf operation. In addition to the staple food items that are needed throughout the year, special holiday foods are needed, said Kathy Hughes, coordinator of the food pantry in Schilling Plaza. The operationís critical needs include: turkey or ham, potatoes, stuffing, corn, soup, hamburger helper, pasta and sauce, macaroni and cheese, rice dishes, baking mixes, cereal and toilet paper. Here are some other ways the public can help, Hughes said. They include: Make a cash donation, bring a food donation to the food pantry, volunteer to help staff the food pantry, and partner with friends, co-workers or church members for a food drive during the holidays. For more information, call the Family Pathways Food Pantry at 651-464-2098. Schilling Plaza is located on the north side of TH-97 across the highway from Forest Lake High School.
