Girls cross country team places 6th at Blaine Invite

The Forest Lake High School girls cross country team finished sixth out of 11 teams at the Blaine Invitational last Thursday.
The Rangers were led by Auralee McGary who finished in 16:02. The next Rangers finisher didn't cross the line until almost a minute later when Kristi Berkley crossed the line at the 16:58 mark. After Berkley came Shawna McNamara (17:05), Annie Dehmlow (17:18) and Sarah Mitchell (17:22).

The Rangers finished in a tie with St. Francis with 156 points, but the Rangers sixth finisher, Sarah Wright (17:31) put the Rangers ahead of St. Francis as she finished ahead of St. Francis' sixth finisher.

The Rangers next meet is today, Thursday, as they host the Suburban East Conference meet at Falcon Ridge Golf Course at 3:30 p.m.
