Still a kid to the coach

Adam Haayer may be 6-foot-6 and 300 plus pounds but heís still a kid in the eyes of one of his former high school coaches. John Lautigar, a line coach at Forest Lake High School when Haayer was in school here, put a playful headlock on the former Ranger Friday night at Southwest Junior High School. Haayer, a reserve offensive lineman with the Minnesota Vikings, spearheaded a fund-raiser in Forest Lake Friday for his father, Herman, who is fighting cancer. More than a dozen of his Vikings teammates turned out as did several hundred fans anxious to meet the players and help the family cause.
