Nesting Grounds hosts Peru speaker

Lutheran World Relief has announced that the ìFrom Peru with Loveî tour of small-scale coffee farmer representative Silvia Arispe will make a stop in Wyoming. Arispe will be at the Nesting Grounds Coffee Shop in Wyoming at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24. It is one of three stops in Minnesota. A graduate of the Agrarian University in Peru, Arispe will speak about the benefits of basic health care, nutrition and education which fair trade affords members of her Peruvian-based coffee growerís cooperative, COCLA. Her schedule includes visits with communities associated with the Lutheran World Relief Coffee Project, an initiative to encourage the use of fairly traded coffee among Lutheran parishes, home and institutions. Local hosts are Wyomingís Jim and Sondra Mericle, pastor and physician, respectively.
