Soccer games donít always produce a ton of goals, but the Forest Lake High School girls soccer team went three straight games with scoreless 0-0 ties.

The rash of scoreless ties began in the Rangers Sept. 25 game against Stillwater when both teams were held scoreless. The first time the two teams met Stillwater lit up the scoreboard with four goals, but this time around the Rangers defense rose to the occasion and stopped them. Unfortunately Stillwaterís defense continued to play strong.

After losing to Park (Cottage Grove) 5-0 in their first matchup, the Rangers held them to a scoreless tie. Roseville battled the Rangers to a 3-1 victory in their first matchup of the season, but couldnít solve the Rangers defense this time around in what was a third straight scoreless tie for the Rangers.

After the three consecutive scoreless ties, the Rangers got two goals from Anna Johnson against Hastings on Saturday. The only problem is Hastings scored two goals of their own and the Rangers settled for a 2-2 tie.

ìThe first two ties were good because we had lost to those teams before,î Rangers head coach Jeny Hollaren said. ìThe second two games we were hoping to win though.

The Rangers host White Bear Lake today, Thursday, at 5 p.m.
