Kids from area flock to Punk Rock Prom
More than 200 kids from the Forest Lake, Wyoming, Stacy and North Branch area flocked to Grace Alliance Church in Forest Lake Friday night for the Punk Rock Prom and a chance to hear four punk rock bands. The event was sponsored by the Grace Alliance Underground Church. Its mission is to provide a worship space for young people from throughout the area. The prom was billed as a thrift store formal and dates were optional. The outing was also a time for four friends to have fun. Left to right are: Cindy Jo Schloer, Joy Abbott, Rachal Cottingham and Jill Bryse. The girls are all from the North Branch araea. Many area merchants donated food to help support the event which was free to the kids.
