The Forest Lake High School softball team dropped its first two home games, but turned up winners when they traveled to Roseville Monday.
The Rangers had 14 hits in the game that resulted in a 6-3 victory over Roseville. Kaity Wightman and Cassie Freerks combined for five runs batted in the game and pitcher Jess Griffith kept Roseville off the bases, allowing only three runs. Every Rangers player in the lineup had a hit in the victory.
Earlier in the week Woodbury jumped all over Griffith and the rest of the Rangers as they shutout the Rangers 7-0.
The Rangers held Woodbury to only two runs until the sixth inning when Woodbury erupted for five runs to secure their victory.
The Rangers next game is Saturday at the Richfield Invite with games starting at 11 a.m. The Rangers return home Wednesday, April 28, to host Stillwater at 4 p.m.
