Officers were called to the Forest Lake Skateboard Park adjacent to the city of Forest Lake Planning Department at 2:41 p.m. At the scene, some 75-100 juveniles had gathered to watch the battle.

Police said the two girls were in an argument over a juvenile boy and elected to fight over the dispute.

The two combatants were ages 12 and 13, police said. Both were given juvenile citations.

Youth were seen fleeing the area as police arrived. Police said the fight was reported by adults who helped intervene during the incident.
