Girls golf team experiencing ups and downs

After starting the week with an eighth place finish at the Suburban East Conference round at Prestwick last Thursday, the Forest Lake High School girls golf team bounced back and placed second at the SEC round at Manitou Ridge Monday.
The Rangers had a team score of 194 at Prestwick last Thursday, nine points behind seventh place finisher Park (Cottage Grove). Woodbury won the round with a team score of 175.
The play of seventh grader Betsey Kelley helped the Rangers improve their team score Monday as they finished second with a score of 192 behind Woodbury who shot a 179. Individually, Kelley took third place with a score of 43.
The Rangers next round of golf is Monday at the Forest Lake Invitational at Tanners Brook Golf Course at 11 a.m.
