Syncro team starts season with a win

In their first meet of the year, the Forest Lake High School synchronized swimming team had an easy 29-0 victory over Columbia Heights.
Senior captain Hannah McKenzie took first at the meet with teammates Carrie Peterson (second), Frances VanSloun (third), Alissa Moberg (fourth), Nicole Duff (fifth), Heidi Bolenbaugh (sixth) and Heidi Merrier (seventh) all finishing in the top ten.
The junior varsity team also won with a score of 23-6.
In the Rangers home opener against Stillwater they lost 20-9. McKenzie placed second. VanSloun placed sixth at the meet and Peterson seventh.
The junior varsity team also lost with a final score of 27-2.
The Rangers next meet is today, Thursday, against Osseo at 4:30 p.m.
