The ISD 831 has approved a new contract for its communications coordinator, Carissa Fredrickson. The board Aug. 4 approved the agreement for the two-year period from July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2007. The agreement calls for salary of $60,000 in the first year and $61,662 in the second year. Other terms include 11 paid holidays, vacation time that will accrue from 13 days after one year of service to a maximum of 25 days after 10 years of service, a pay for performance bonus of up to $2700 a year based on the superintendentís evaluation of coordinatorís work, 20 sick leave days a year and other district benefits for health and medical insurance. The district also agreed to reimburse the coordinator for moving expenses not to exceed $2500 for purchasing a home in ISD 831. The coordinator must remain in the employ of the district a minimum of two years or reimburse the district 50 percent of moving expense payment.
