Relay for Life works for the cure
A total of 38 teams pulled in more than $160,000 Friday night and Saturday morning during the annual Forest Lake Relay for Life, a fund-raising event for the American Cancer Society. While the dollar total fell below the pre-relay target of $165,000 set by the ACS, volunteers hope late arriving dollars will help the drive meet its 2005 goal. The survivor lap was warmly received by applause at the high school athletic field on Friday.
