The man found dead in Forest Lake early Thursday morning took his own life, Forest Lake Chief of Police Clark Quiring said late on Thursday. The man was a 75-year-old city resident who had experienced health problems. The chief said the Ramsey County Medical Examiner determined the man died from a self inflicted gun shot wound. The man was found lying on the side of SE 1st St., just north of SE 8th Ave. shortly after 3 a.m. on Thursday.
