Teetzel continues search for new job

When hired by the city of Wyoming in January 2004 as city administrator, Jill Teetzel was the strongest candidate in the pool, with a masterís degree in public administration and extensive experience as an administrator, according to officials who made the hiring decision. Questions remain, however, about the circumstances surrounding her departure from Wyoming this spring. A related question is whether or not she has found employment yet? Teetzel answered at least part of the question Monday in a phone interview. She said she is actively interviewing for other jobs in city administration. Teetzel revealed she is in the midst of interviews with a number of cities and is on the short list of candidates in several communities. While she was unwilling to indicate where she is a candidate until a mutual, final agreement is made, she said she has returned a contract to one city with some changes and is waiting for a response. Published reports have listed the former Wyoming administrator as a candidate for positions in the cities of Sebeka and Ely. ó Alice Pickering, Wyoming City Reporter
