State Rep. Ray Vandeveer, R-Forest Lake, and nine other area Republicans will unite to race for ìTeam GOPî in the Forest Lake Rotary Clubís ìRace for Rotaryî at 9 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 6. ìEveryone was more than willing to get behind the wheel for some fun and to help out the Forest Lake Rotary,î Vandeveer said. Proceeds from the race support area youth and education activities as well as other charitable organizations. Besides Vandeveer, the nine other area representatives are: Sen. Michele Bachmann (Stillwater), Rep. Matt Dean (Dellwood), Washington County Commissioner Dennis Hegberg, Rep. Phil Krinkie (Lino Lakes), Rep. Tom Hackbarth (Cedar), Rep. Pete Nelson (Lindstrom), Anoka County Commissioner Rhonda Sivarajah, former Rep. Sherry Broecker and former Rep. Carl Jacobson.
