The Forest Lake parents of a park ranger missing in the high country of Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, CO, have joined the search. Jeff Christensen, 31, a 1992 graduate of Forest Lake High School, has been missing since Friday, July 29 after he left a park trailhead to patrol the rugged backcountry of the Mummy Range. Dale and Chris Christensen are now in Colorado and have joined more than 100 other searchers who have used dog rescue teams and helicopters in the search for the missing ranger. They have vowed to remain in Colorado until their son is found. Officials at the national park said Wednesday they have confirmed two sightings of Christensen and are attempting to contact other hikers who were believed to have been in the area where Christensen was patrolling last Friday. Christensen lives in Fraser, CO, and has worked as a park ranger for four seasons. The rangerís backcountry patrol was a remote area with few trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. The elevation in the range is from 10,600 feet to 13,000 feet.
