Volunteers from the community are still needed to assist in planning for ISD 831ís future. The Strategic Planning Process timeline has been extended in order to gather a more representative sample of residents. The first planning session, originally scheduled this month, has been rescheduled for Feb. 9-11. A second planning session will take place May 15-16. The school district is seeking business people, parents, retirees and any concerned citizens to participate in the planning sessions. This group of 25-30 people will be instrumental in establishing priorities for the district and determining what the schools will look like in the future. More information and volunteer applications are available on the districtís website, www.forestlake.k12.mn.us, or at any district building. Applications must be received by Jan. 31 in order to be considered.
