Marzolf will receive American FFA Degree
Forest Lake Agriculture Teacher, Bob Marzolf, was recently nominated to receive the Honorary American FFA Degree.
The award is given to those who advance agricultural education and FFA through outstanding personal commitment. Marzolf began his career in Woodstock, IL and has taught at the Forest Lake High School for the past 22 years.
Last year, Marzolf served as the president of the Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators. He was district department chair when the Forest Lake Agriculture Program was named Minnesotaís Outstanding Agriculture Program in 1998.
The National FFA Organization works to enhance the lives of youth through agricultural education. Without the efforts of highly dedicated individuals, thousands of young people would not be able to active success that, in turn, contributes directly to the overall well-being of the nation.
The Honorary American Degree is an opportunity to recognize those who have gone beyond the valuable daily contributions to make an extraordinary long-term difference in the lives of students, inspiring confidence in a new generation of agriculturists.
Members of the National FFA Board of Directors approved the nomination.
Marzolf traveled to Louisville, KY to receive the honor during an on stage presentation at the 78th National FFA Convention on Oct. 26-29, 2005. All recipients will receive a certificate and medal and their names will be permanently recorded.
FFA is a national youth organization of 476,732 student members preparing for leadership careers in science, business and technology of agriculture with 7223 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
